David Emery has been working as a serious amateur potter for over 20 years.
Like many others he started with evening classes which rapidly developed into setting up a pottery group in SW London which included building up a fully equipped studio for the group to use.
He mainly concentrated on oxidised stoneware selling work in local shops and exhibitions.
He moved to Dorset with his family and has been concentrating on reduction stoneware using a gas fired kiln he designed and built himself.
